The Total Portfolio team
Join one of Australia's most innovative investment strategy teams. As an Investment Analyst within the Total Portfolio team, you'll help shape the allocation of over $240 billion in assets using advanced analytics, AI and portfolio construction techniques. Working alongside experienced investors, economists and data scientists, you'll build tools, assist with research and help improve total-portfolio decision-making across the Fund.
What you'll learn
The Total Portfolio team is a central team within Investment Strategy. You will have opportunities to develop knowledge and experience in:
- Asset allocation and total portfolio risk
- Advanced risk modelling quantitative research
- Applications of AI in investing
- Working with senior investment decision-makers
Work alongside asset class experts, economists to solve complex investment problems.

Who are we looking for?
You might be:
- A finance graduate interested in quantitative methods, portfolio construction and AI.
- A data scientist looking to apply AI to real-world investment decisions.
- An engineer or computer scientist with a passion for markets and portfolio construction.
- An investment analyst seeking an opportunity to apply your quantitative and technology skills.
Necessary skills and experience
- Strong quantitative, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python/Matlab/R.
- Experience working with data science and AI tools.
- Ability to analyse large datasets and communicate insights clearly.
What do we consider a ‘plus’?
- Experience building AI applications or agents.
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques.
- Experience with cloud, databases or modern data platforms.
Familiarity with portfolio analytics or investment datasets.
