Full Job Description

Our Power Distribution Systems & Services Division (PDSS) offers power management solutions predominantly in renewable, mining, industrial, utility, commercial, data centres, mission critical infrastructure, residential, construction, transport networks and healthcare segments. Our custom engineered products and services are designed with a mission of achieving unparalleled safety while helping our customers on their mission to reduce their consumption and enter the carbon neutral world.

We are looking for Utility Account Manager to be the primary relationship owner and contact for NSW, ACT, and WA covering all Power System products including Bussman fuses, MV Switchgear, Ring Main Units, Voltage Regulators, Capacitors, Overhead Switchgear and Substation Automation. The successful candidate will set out and execute a clear sales strategy to grow Eaton’s market share and ensure a diverse portfolio mix.

Key Duties:

Selling, pricing, product / market industry knowledge & promotion of the Utility product portfolio to ensure KPI's are met and exceeded (KPI's include order, sales & margin)
Lead Generation: Identify and prospect new business opportunities through various channels, including networking, cold calling, and industry events.
Support the Product Manager to ensure the technical requirements are known for future tenders and details are known on where Eaton has a technical advantage, or a product technical development is required to meet customer specification.
Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations tailored to the specific needs of prospective customers.
Lead contract negotiations, ensure mutually beneficial agreements that align with company objectives.
Market Analysis: Stay informed of industry trends, competitive landscape, and market conditions to identify opportunities for growth.
Work closely with internal teams including marketing, product management, project management and engineering, to ensure a seamless customer experience throughout dealings with you as the Eaton representative.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and pipeline management using SalesForce.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 8 years of experience in power engineering sales preferably within a medium or high voltage sales environment
Technical electrical engineering skills are preferred. Experience in dealing with ANZ Energy Utilities is required
Tertiary, or a trade qualification within electrical and/or mechanical engineering is desired
Excellent communications skills with a consultative approach and growth mindset to problem solving.
