About the Role
Working closely with the Head Chef and owners, you'll play an important role in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, helping to deliver consistently high-quality dishes while maintaining a positive and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily operations of the kitchen alongside the Head Chef and owners, confidently overseeing kitchen operations when required.
- Communicate with the kitchen team each day to coordinate food preparation, manage bookings, estimate service requirements, and monitor stock levels.
- Work efficiently and collaboratively during both busy service periods and quieter shifts.
- Assist the Head Chef in maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Keep your section clean, organised, and running smoothly throughout every service.
- Prepare and deliver meals with care while confidently accommodating customers' dietary requirements.
- Ensure all Work Health & Safety, Food Safety, Hygiene, and HACCP standards are consistently met.
- Contribute ideas towards menu development, seasonal dishes, and rotating specials.
- Foster a positive team culture by supporting and encouraging your fellow kitchen staff.
About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality and takes pride in their work. Ideally, you'll have:
- A Trade Qualification or Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery.
- At least 1–2 years' experience in a similar Chef de Partie or senior kitchen role.
- A genuine passion for cooking and a willingness to continually learn and develop.
- The ability to remain calm, organised, and focused during busy service periods.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with a positive, can-do attitude.
- A commitment to producing high-quality food with excellent attention to detail.
- A solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP principles.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
