Full Job Description

My client is a global quantitative trading firm powered by scientific rigor, curiosity, and innovation. Technology is at the core of everything they do. They are currently looking for multiple C++ Developers across different teams in Hong Kong or Sydney, including headcounts for C++ Development (Low-Latency Trading Systems) , a Senior Team Lead – Market Connectivity, and a Senior Team Lead – Low-Latency Development. This is a multi-hire initiative offering real impact, close collaboration with traders and quantitative researchers, competitive perks, and the opportunity to work on some of the most powerful trading systems in the financial industry.

Open to HK or Sydney.

Role Overview:

You will develop and enhance high-frequency, low-latency trading applications, working closely with traders and quantitative researchers. Depending on the role, you will either focus on hands-on C++ development or lead a team of technologists building market connectivity or low-latency systems. All roles require a passion for performance optimization, scalability, and solving complex problems in a fast-paced trading environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and enhance low-latency trading applications using modern C++ on Linux.
Partner closely with Trading, Quantitative Researchers, and Infrastructure teams.
Drive projects from analysis to production (Team Lead roles).
Bring or gain deep understanding of trading, market connectivity, market data, and low-latency systems.

Required Skills & Experience:

C++ Developer: Minimum 5 years experience with modern C++ on Linux and proficiency in Python.
Senior Team Lead – Market Connectivity: Deep expertise in exchange connectivity protocols, FIX, and low-latency market data feeds; proven leadership experience.
Senior Team Lead – Low-Latency Development: Extensive experience in performance optimization, latency reduction, kernel bypass (DPDK, Solarflare, etc.), and leading high-performance engineering teams.
Domain Knowledge: Experience in trading systems, low-latency, or financial markets is highly regarded (essential for Team Lead roles).
Core Competencies: Performance optimization, latency reduction, full life-cycle development, and delivering complex applications with demanding performance goals.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline.
