Your New Role and Responsibilities
Leidos Australia supports the integration of intelligence and situational awareness capabilities through the JP2096 Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) system. This work enables Defence analysts to rapidly search, collate and assimilate data from multiple sources, supporting more timely and informed decision‑making in complex operational environments.
The Service Delivery Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the Development & Integration (D&I) squads within the Mission System at the Development Centre achieve their business goals. To accomplish this, the Delivery Operations Lead collaborates with the Customer's Capability Manager to create and maintain the D&I team's delivery roadmap.
The preferred candidate should possess substantial experience in project management and delivery, with a demonstrated interest in transitioning to service-operations-based delivery. This individual will support expanding existing capabilities, advancing operational delivery maturity, and positioning the organisation for scalable growth and successful acquisition of new business through enhanced delivery reliability and improved outcomes.
Key responsibilities for this role include:

Oversee blended delivery of ongoing software sustainment and time-bound change initiatives, managing priorities, dependencies, schedules, and delivery modes to ensure consistent, predictable outcomes.

Lead stakeholder engagement across customer and governance forums, managing expectations, risks, issues, dependencies, and escalation paths to protect delivery outcomes and schedules.

Translate business outcomes and roadmap priorities into an achievable delivery sequence, partnering closely with Engineering Leads to balance scope, schedule, risk, quality, compliance, and delivery feasibility while insulating technical teams from process overhead.

Own and maintain the integrated delivery plan and release calendar, coordinating scope, sequencing, milestones, and dependencies across teams to meet contractual and governance cadence expectations while enabling more frequent delivery where possible.
What You’ll Bring to Make an Impact

Demonstrated project management and delivery experience, ideally within complex, multi-team or regulated environments, with accountability for scope, schedule, dependencies, and delivery outcomes.

Strong experience operating in delivery-focused roles across sustainment, change, or hybrid delivery models, with the ability to manage competing priorities and delivery modes effectively.

Clear interest and career intent to transition into a service-operations-focused role, contributing to the evolution of delivery capability from project-based execution toward mature, repeatable service operations.

Proven ability to support organisational growth objectives and strengthen the ability to scale services and win new work through reliable delivery performance.
