PURPOSE:

The position exists to operate mobile plant and ancillary mining production equipment in accordance with ConsMin guidelines, systems and processes.

The incumbent will safely, productively, and cost-effectively contribute to the daily operations of the Load and Haul team.

Job Description

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate mobile plant and ancillary mining production equipment in line with operational requirements and site standards.
Demonstrate an operational understanding of load and haul activities, including equipment capabilities and production processes.
Operate allocated machinery safely, efficiently, and within manufacturer specifications.
Maintain knowledge of open pit mine safety practices and actively apply them in daily tasks.
Participate in training, development, and upskilling opportunities to enhance capability and performance.
Maintain environmental awareness and follow all site environmental management procedures.
Undertake additional duties as reasonably requested by your manager in line with your skills, experience and competency level

Workplace Health and Safety -

Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others, setting a proactive example in safety awareness.
Follow and promote the Life Saving Rules, ensuring understanding and adherence among colleagues.
Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) relevant to each task.
Follow established standard work procedures and ensure consistency in safety practices.
Conduct and participate in relevant risk assessments (e.g. Take 5’s, JHA’s, Safe Act Observations) as required.
Report any workplace health, safety, or environmental issues to your supervisor immediately.
Familiarise yourself with and comply with all ConsMin Policies, Procedures, and Standards.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Required -

Minimum C Class Drivers’ Licence
Cert II or Cert III in RII surface extraction
Applied First Aid Certificate HLTAID003

Desired -

2+ years’ experience in a similar role
2 years’ + experience operating mobile plant machinery
An understanding of fleet management systems
