What you'll be doing
Providing a safe and secure environment for staff, patients and visitors, and assisting clinical staff in the care and comfort of patients.
About You
You present yourself as a highly capable and compliant security professional who operates with reliability, composure and a strong sense of responsibility. You hold a current Class 1A Security Licence issued by the NSW Security Licensing & Enforcement Directorate (SLED), a current Senior First Aid Certificate, a valid driver’s licence and you work under the MNCLHD Master Licence 410572298. These credentials reflect your commitment to regulatory standards, safety and professional conduct.
You demonstrate the ability to manage aggressive incidents and challenging behaviours with confidence and control, responding effectively to duress situations while maintaining the safety of staff, patients, clients and the public. Your approach is calm, measured and grounded in practical experience, allowing you to de-escalate situations and act decisively when required.
You are flexible in taking direction from supervisors and contribute positively within a multi‑disciplinary team. Your communication skills allow you to engage clearly and respectfully with colleagues at all levels, as well as with patients, clients and members of the public, ensuring interactions remain professional and supportive.
You understand and comply with environmental cleaning requirements and apply work health and safety principles consistently, including safe manual handling and infection control practices. Your awareness of these standards supports a safe and hygienic environment for everyone in your workplace.
You participate willingly in a seven‑day rotating roster that includes weekends, public holidays, school holidays and varying shifts across mornings, afternoons and nights. You adapt well to changing operational needs and maintain reliability regardless of the shift structure.
You also demonstrate an understanding of morgue operations and show a willingness to work in that environment with professionalism, respect and adherence to procedural and ethical requirements.
Overall, you present as a disciplined, safety‑focused and dependable security professional who meets regulatory obligations, communicates effectively and contributes positively to complex and sensitive environments.
