The Role
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Officer for our Eastwood Retirement Living Village in Eastwood in the Gippsland region to carry out general maintenance and repair work across the retirement village, including buildings, common areas, and grounds.
- Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and ensure a high standard of customer service.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance issues, hazards, and opportunities for improvement.
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure assets, equipment, and facilities remain in good working order.
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors where required.
- Maintain village presentation, including cleanliness, landscaping, and common areas.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and report any risks or incidents.
- Assist with village projects, refurbishments, and property improvement initiatives.
- Monitor maintenance supplies and equipment and recommend purchases when required.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in a timely manner.
About you
- Experience in general maintenance, property, facilities, or grounds keeping.
- Trade qualification or relevant hands-on maintenance experience preferred.
- Strong practical skills with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
- Excellent customer service skills and a genuine commitment to resident wellbeing.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
- Current Driver's Licence and ability to undertake physical tasks.
