PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
This position contributes to the operational effectiveness of Water Services by supporting the development, maintenance and application of the
Trade Waste Management System, Backflow Prevention and complimentary systems and activities across both urban and remote communities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The “WHAT” to be delivered
Functional
• Responsible for the implementation of the Trade Waste Management System including the update and application of the Trade Waste Code.
- Responsible for Bulk Waste management and administration oversight (e.g. agreements, disposal review and approval, planning input for
associated facilities, invoicing and pricing, sampling, Waste ID) to comply with relevant guidelines, standards and codes.
- Responsible for the implementation of Backflow Prevention Program measures (e.g. manual and policies, maintenance of register, Backflow ID,
site inspections, investigations and assessment) to comply with relevant guidelines, standards and codes.
- Maintain relationships with Environmental Health to inform trade waste and other complimentary systems regulatory compliance activities and
strategic outcomes
- Contribute to the management of trade waste applications and approvals, developing and overviewing implementation and monitoring programs
- Co-ordinate and report on trade waste and bulk waste operational performance, monitoring programs and customer licence activities
- Support the development and implementation of various stakeholder and customer engagement strategies across trade waste, backflow and
bulk waste functions
