The role of Relationship Manager is responsible for building and deepening relationships with an allocated portfolio of Aggregators and Brokers, and the achievement of segmented sales targets and portfolio growth in line with Retail Broker's strategic direction. With a focus on face-to-face engagement, Relationship Managers are required to develop a deep understanding of Aggregator and Brokers businesses, their future objectives and opportunities in order to develop and execute effective sales strategies and uplift performance through targeted Broker education and training, whilst balancing sound risk management practices. Relationship Managers will work in partnership with Business Support Managers to effectively support their Brokers loan application pipeline and back book, ensuring positive customer experiences and associated uplift in portfolio conversion and Broker satisfaction.

As a Relationship Manager-
Building effective relationships with Aggregators and Brokers to drive business growth in line with Retail Broker's strategic direction.
Proactively developing and maintaining an understanding of Brokers’ businesses and objectives and promoting Retail Broker's service proposition, with a focus on targeted face to face engagement.
Effective use of available data and reporting to draw insights and inform sales strategies from a portfolio level through to the individual Broker level.
Monitoring and managing own Brokers portfolio KPIs including identifying areas for growth and quality improvement.
Conduct targeted education and training with aligned Broker portfolio and Aggregator group(s), in line with agreed channel standards.
Active participation in the delivery of localised Aggregator and ANZ sponsored events to ensure effective ANZ representation and deepening of relationships with target Brokers.
Working with internal business partners, including Private Banking, Corporate and Commercial teams, to expand share of wallet and deepen relationships with target Brokers.
Build and maintain effective business partnerships with key internal stakeholders including CSO and ABN teams.
Developing an effective operating rhythm with Business Support Managers to actively support Brokers loan application.
Ensure adherence to ANZ polices, processes and external regulatory requirements as applicable.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Strong customer focus and relationship building skills.
Demonstrated experience in effective rapport building and customer portfolio management.
Strong communication (listening, verbal and written) and problem-solving skills.
Analytical skills: ability to collect and analyse data and information to develop sales strategies.
Credit analysis: ability to assess a customer's ability to fulfill their credit obligations, considering both qualitative and quantitative
factors such as character, capital, capacity to repay, collateral (security) and conditions (the 5Cs of credit).
Presentation skills: creating and delivering presentations including the ability to facilitate and engage with audiences.
Goal driven with experience working towards developed plans and targets.
Retail Banking Knowledge: lending product, policy and process.
Mortgage broking industry knowledge or experience.
Negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to face into challenging scenarios.
Training experience: Identifying and executing on teaching and/or training opportunities to improve the capability, productivity and performance of others.
