As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Junior Electrical Engineer to join our team at our Canning Vale headquarters.
This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career engineer to develop their technical skills while working on real-world projects from concept through to manufacture. You'll work alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative, hands-on environment where your ideas and input will make a genuine impact.
You'll be involved in every stage of the engineering process, gaining exposure to electrical design, renewable energy technologies, product development and testing.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the design and development of DC power systems, including standalone power solutions, solar and hybrid lighting towers, CCTV systems and telematics platforms.
- Preparing electrical schematics, technical drawings, bills of materials and engineering documentation.
- Supporting product testing, commissioning and troubleshooting within our workshop.
- Collaborating with electricians, mechanics and production teams to bring designs to life.
- Providing technical support to internal stakeholders and customers when required.
- Assisting in the delivery of engineering projects, ensuring quality outcomes and on-time completion.
- Contributing ideas for continuous improvement and product innovation.
During your first 4 to 6 weeks, you will complete a structured onboarding program to become familiar with our products, systems and engineering processes.
You will regularly use AutoCAD, SolidWorks, proprietary battery software and web-based engineering platforms, so confidence using AutoCAD is essential.
This role works Monday to Friday 6am - 4pm.
You'll be involved in every stage of the engineering process, gaining exposure to electrical design, renewable energy technologies, product development and testing.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about engineering, enjoys solving problems and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves.
You'll bring:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Up to 3 years' experience in an engineering role
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (SolidWorks experience will be highly regarded).
- An interest in renewable energy, battery systems, hybrid power or emerging energy technologies.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- A practical, hands-on approach with an interest in seeing designs become finished products.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- A current Australian Driver's Licence.
Desirable:
- Mandarin or Cantonese language skills.
