Are you a seasoned engineering leader ready to take on a pivotal role in delivering complex, high-profile projects? Due to continued success and a strong pipeline of work, we’re seeking a Technical Executive – Dams Engineer to join our renowned Geo-environmental Engineering team. This is an opportunity to influence strategy, lead technical excellence, and mentor the next generation of engineers while working on projects that matter.
There is a preference for this role to be based in Brisbane, however applicants from other locations around Australia are encouraged to apply.
As a Technical Executive, you’ll be at the forefront of Australia’s infrastructure development, guiding multidisciplinary teams and ensuring the highest standards of safety, innovation, and sustainability. You’ll have the autonomy to shape technical delivery, engage with senior stakeholders, and contribute to the growth of our business.

Lead and inspire a dynamic technical team, fostering collaboration and innovation.

Oversee conceptual to detailed designs for dams, reservoirs, and service basins.

Conduct and guide dam safety reviews, inspections, and compliance assessments.

Manage multiple high-profile projects, ensuring technical excellence and timely delivery.

Drive market engagement, develop proposals, and strengthen client relationships.

Mentor and coach junior engineers, supporting their professional growth.

Collaborate with leadership teams across Australia to align strategy and delivery.

Proven expertise in dam engineering with 16+ years of hands-on design experience.

Strong technical skills in design reports, specifications, and drawings.

Familiarity with ANCOLD, ICOLD, or similar standards.

Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Advanced qualifications (Masters or PhD in Structural or Geotechnical Engineering).

Professional accreditation (CPEng, RPEQ preferred).

Proficiency in relevant analysis and design software.

Ability to lead complex projects and deliver on time and budget.
