This role sits within LSC - Digital & Program Delivery Division in the Engineering team.
About the team
You will join the Digital and Program Delivery team. The team is leading the delivery of new portable long service leave schemes, including the development and rollout of the systems and processes needed to administer them. In addition, this team is also responsible for ongoing improvement initiatives ensuring our current schemes and systems continue to evolve and improve.
This role reports to the Manager Engineering and works closely with delivery, business and operational stakeholders across LSC.
Your day-to-day

Lead the end-to-end design, build and delivery of secure, scalable and observable integration solutions aligned to organisational strategies.

Act as the principal technical authority for API-led and integration solutions using enterprise platforms including MuleSoft and Apigee.

Provide hands-on technical leadership across design, development, testing and deployment, assuring quality across concurrent delivery streams.

Collaborate with delivery, business, security and platform teams to translate business outcomes into robust, compliant integration designs.

Establish integration engineering standards, maintain quality documentation, support operational resilience, and coach engineers to uplift capability and best practice.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

Extensive experience delivering complex enterprise integration solutions.

Strong expertise in API design, security, non-functional requirements, and integration platforms such as MuleSoft and/or Apigee.

Proven principal-level engineering leadership across multiple delivery initiatives.

Sound judgement balancing business needs, delivery priorities, and platform sustainability.

Experience owning production support, incident management, and continuous improvement.

Excellent stakeholder engagement, collaboration, and influencing skills.

Commitment to high-quality documentation, engineering standards, and continuous improvement.
