What’s the role all about?
As the People and Culture Business Partner, you will work as part of a small but dynamic People and Culture team to provide HR operational advice and support to our people and people leaders on all aspects of the employee lifecycle at QMS Media.
This is a true partnering role, with the objective of delivering on QMS’s vision, purpose, and objectives by linking strategy, people, culture, and performance.
As a people focused HR generalist, you will manage varied work at scale including advice and guidance on all people related matters including coaching, performance management, engagement, culture, growth, and development. You will be actively involved with the continuous improvement of our processes, systems, and offerings, and support the Senior People and Culture Business Partner in the areas of recruitment, compliance and workplace health and safety.
You will provide operational input, insights and support to the Head of People and Culture to assist in developing, implementing, and delivering the QMS Media business plan.
There will be opportunities to problem solve, sharpen your insights, grow personally and professionally, all while making a positive difference to QMS’ team and organisation.
This role is essential in ensuring the values of QMS are brought to life through words and actions, that the expected behaviours are rewarded and recognised and every touch point in the employee lifecycle is delivered efficiently, professionally - with genuine care and consideration for people.
Provide advice and coordination across all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including performance review, talent, succession, remuneration, training, employee leave and learning and development
Provide day to day advice, coaching, recommendations and solutions to leaders and employees to support an inclusive, diverse, engaged and performing team
Assist with refining and developing HR policies and procedures where applicable or as directed
Prepare P&C correspondence and letters, accurately update HRIS and other systems / share drives as required
Provide generalist advice, operational support and guidance to our people and people leads across a range of areas including QMS HR policies, statutory and regulatory requirements, and best practice.
Advise and support leaders in the performance management process and assist with coordination and completion
Partner with leaders and teams to ensure that talent is being optimally managed, ensuring that they have, or are developing, appropriate workforce capability for the futur
Support workforce planning including reporting, performance goals, succession planning and talent management
Assist the Senior People & Culture Business Partner as directed with end-to-end recruitment, induction, onboarding and offboarding processes
What we’re looking for:
Demonstrated experience as an HR advisor / consultant i.e., generalist role
At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar HR related position
Tertiary qualification in HR or similar
Experience with HR tools and technology (e.g., HRIS, ATS, Culture Amp)Comfort working in a medium-sized, fast-paced professional services, or corporate environment
Build relationships at all levels with a strong focus on stakeholder management and engagement
Ability to have challenging conversations to mitigate risk, build capability and deliver required outcomes
