We cater for a broad range of health care needs from day surgery procedures through to highly complex surgery. The 212 bed private hospital is co-located with Westmead Hospital and Westmead Children’s Hospital and is a teaching hospital of the Western Clinical School of the University of Sydney.
Job Description
We are seeking Environmental Services Assistants to provide day-to-day cleaning across our hospital on a casual basis. This opportunity will have you being a part of a brilliant team of people responsible for providing the highest standards of cleanliness specifically to our operating theatres department.
Your responsibilities will include:

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness

Ensuring all equipment utilised on shifts is cleaned, restocked and stored in the appropriate storage areas

Upholding infection control standards by adhering to standard protocols and any additional precautions
-
Disposing of soiled general and clinical waste
-
Working in a friendly and supportive manner at all times
-
Maintaining communication networks with nursing staff and other stakeholders ensuring quality clinical outcomes are achieved
Reporting to the Housekeeping Team Leader, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidates will be punctual, reliable and with a commitment to genuine, friendly customer service.

Previous experience in a hospital environment but not essential

Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus

Compliance Workplace, Health and Safety and Infection Control

Have experience in cleaning services

Be a team player and love to work within a large team

Demonstrate attention to detail and take pride in your work

Self-motivation and proficiency in working effectively while adhering to instructions and infection prevention and control

Availability to work across a 7-day rotating roster is essential including mornings, afternoons and nights

Additional Information
