About the Role:

In this role, you will deliver high-quality cleaning services across clinical, non-clinical, and public areas, ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation in line with CHS policies, infection prevention and control requirements, and National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards. You will safely operate and maintain cleaning equipment and machinery, comply with WHS and chemical safety requirements, and proactively identify, report, and help resolve hazards, defects, and safety issues. Working within established procedures and timeframes, you will play an important role in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
These roles will be part of a casual relief pool delivering staffing coverage across Canberra Hospital Campus and Community Health Care sites 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Roles may be available for cleaning duties within CHS facilities or outside in the external areas of CHS facilities.
Note: Successful applicants will be required to attend and successfully complete Nationally Accredited NAT11084 Asbestos Awareness Training and NAT10830 Silica Awareness Training in Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention within one month of commencement.

Note: There are several casual positions available. The full-time salary noted above will be paid pro rata for casual hours.
