About the Opportunity
We are seeking multiple experienced .NET Developers to join a major Australian Government ICT program delivering critical digital services and enterprise applications.
Working within a collaborative Agile environment, you will contribute to the enhancement, modernisation and support of enterprise systems while helping deliver innovative solutions across cloud, application development and DevOps platforms.
This role is ideal for developers with strong C#, .NET, Web API, Azure and SQL Server experience who enjoy working on large-scale, business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance and support enterprise-grade applications using C#, .NET Framework and modern .NET.
- Participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and support.
- Develop and maintain RESTful Web APIs and backend services.
- Build and support automated application build, deployment and release pipelines.
- Develop high-quality, maintainable and testable code aligned with development standards and best practices.
- Perform peer reviews of code, technical designs and deployment scripts.
- Work within Agile delivery teams using Azure DevOps and modern software engineering practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, testers and support teams to deliver project outcomes.
- Contribute to technical analysis, solution design and implementation activities.
- Provide specialist advice, reporting and recommendations on technical matters.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across development, DevOps and cloud platforms.
Essential Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Strong experience developing enterprise applications using C# and .NET technologies.
- Experience with Visual Studio and modern development tools.
- Backend development experience using Web APIs, SQL Server and related technologies.
- Strong understanding and practical experience across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience creating and maintaining automated build and deployment pipelines.
- Experience developing and supporting cloud-based applications.
- Ability to produce well-designed, documented, maintainable and testable code.
- Experience conducting peer code reviews and ensuring development quality standards.
- Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
- Experience using Azure DevOps and project collaboration tools such as Miro or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage priorities and deliver quality outcomes within agreed deadlines.
- Ability to engage effectively with technical and business stakeholders across distributed teams.
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity and accountability in a government or enterprise environment.
Desirable Skills
The following experience will be highly regarded:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native technologies.
- Technical analysis and solution design experience.
- Experience designing and implementing integration solutions.
- Experience delivering end-to-end enterprise solutions.
- Knowledge of Australian Government ICT environments.
