Full Job Description

Are you passionate about Early Childhood Education and eager to shape a high-quality, nurturing environment? We’re seeking a dedicated, part-time Centre Administrator to ensure a smooth, compliant and engaging service for children, families, and staff in our Artarmon community.

The role requires a level of strong communication with families and educators, as well as undertaking the day-to-day administration duties for the management team.

Attention to detail, communication, interpersonal skills, and time management are important for the success of this role.

About the role:

Managing enrolments and waitlists using childcare software (e.g., OWNA)
Maintaining accreditation and quality standards, adhering to relevant laws, regulations and compliance
Overseeing WHS and risk management protocols, ensuring a safe environment
Handling invoices and expenses, keeping accurate databases and records
Coordinating staff files and provide system training and support
Fostering community partnerships through marketing, promotion, and social media
Upholding policy implementation, aligning with government regulations and procedures

Essential criteria

Current Working with Children Check
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
Demonstrated organisational and administrative skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work with flexibly and with limited supervision
Demonstrated capacity to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
Experience with Xero bookkeeping (preferred but not essential)
Good computer skills, including Office365, OWNA, Xero, CANVA
Experience in Administration in an Early Education and Care Service (preferred, but not essential).
Demonstrated administration, organisational and time management skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks in an accurate and timely manner
Demonstrated numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The hours and working days can be flexible, but we require someone 4 days p/week.
