Full Job Description

1x full time ongoing position
1x part time (0.5 FTE) ongoing position
Salary range: $67,350 - $81,080 plus super
Up to $15,900 in salary packaging, flexible hybrid work arrangement

About the role
Reporting to the Administrative Services Manager (ASM), you will work within a team of legal assistants to provide a broad range of legal administration support to our lawyers and the wider office including word processing, data entry, file management and reception services.

Additionally, you will assist legal aid clients with general enquiries and work with external legal practitioners and community legal centres to ensure the needs of our clients are met.

This role is based at our Ballarat office on Wathaurung Country.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds, including vulnerable individuals.
The ability to handle sensitive and complex situations with discretion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, MS Teams) and the ability to learn and use legal case management systems effectively.
Team-oriented mindset, with the ability to collaborate and work well with others in a busy legal environment.
