About the role
We are seeking a talented Software Developer to join our Application Support team to support one of our key clients GESB. In this role, you'll contribute to the design, development, integration and support of enterprise applications that deliver exceptional customer experiences while meeting the security, compliance and regulatory standards expected within financial services.
Working alongside Product Owners, Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Testers and Delivery Managers, you'll help deliver enhancements and ongoing platform improvements across a modern application landscape across GESB applications.
GESB i.e. Government Employees Superannuation Board are one of the major clients of MUFG Retirement Solutions business. This role is be based at our Perth Office.

What you'll be doing
- Design, develop and support integrations, microservices and enterprise applications.
- Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from analysis and design through to deployment and support.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Contribute to solution design, ensuring applications are scalable, secure and maintainable.
- Develop quality code using .NET technologies and best development practices.
- Write and execute unit tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Investigate, triage and resolve application defects and production issues.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups and sprint activities.
- Work closely with developers, architects, analysts and testers to deliver high-performing solutions.
What you'll bring
Essential Skills & Experience
- 5 years' experience in software development.
- Strong experience with:
- .NET Framework / .NET
- C#
- ASP.NET and ASP.NET MVC
- SQL Server or Oracle Database
- Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Knowledge of SOLID design principles and clean coding practices.
- Experience writing unit tests and using mocking frameworks.
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Experience with Git or similar source control tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Skills
- Microsoft Azure, particularly Service Fabric.
- Angular, HTML & CSS Skills
Experience working within regulated or financial services environments.
