Description:
Reporting to the IT Manager, you will take ownership of key corporate IT systems and help ensure they remain secure, resilient and scalable. You’ll lead complex technical work, contribute to incident response and root cause analysis, and identify opportunities to improve systems, workflows and documentation.
You’ll also play an important role in how AI is used within the team — directing AI tools for multi-step technical delivery, reviewing outputs carefully, and helping embed secure, practical automation patterns.
What you’ll be doing
Own and improve core network, server and identity services across the corporate environment
Design and review network changes, firewall policies, IPS/IDS rules and ZTNA controls
Manage Active Directory health, Group Policy design and identity integrations including SSO
Support VMware environments, server lifecycle activities, patching campaigns and migration work
Lead backup and disaster recovery planning, testing and validation
Own and improve endpoint security and device management platforms including Trend Micro Vision One and ManageEngine MDM
Design and tune SIEM detection rules, correlation logic and security dashboards in Elastic
Lead SEV1 and SEV2 incidents through to resolution, communications and post-incident review
Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes that reduce repeat issues
Improve IT processes, documentation, reporting and AI-assisted triage workflows
Mentor junior engineers through structured feedback, review and knowledge sharing
Skills and Experiences:
What you’ll bring
4–7 years’ experience in IT systems administration, infrastructure or a similar environment
Strong hands-on expertise across Cisco Meraki, Active Directory, VMware, Windows Server, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
Experience with endpoint security and monitoring platforms such as Trend Micro Vision One, Elastic SIEM, ZTNA and ManageEngine MDM
Strong scripting and automation capability using PowerShell, Bash or similar tools
Working knowledge of AWS and hybrid on-premises/cloud environments
Strong networking fundamentals across TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPN and wireless
Experience with ISO 27001 audits, SaaS audits and supplier due diligence
Confidence working with AI agents and reviewing AI-generated technical outputs with care and sound judgement
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
A collaborative approach and a genuine interest in mentoring others
Desirable
Experience designing secure automation and AI-assisted operational workflows
Experience building audit-ready reporting and improving operational visibility through dashboards
Intermediate-level industry certification such as CCNP, AZ-500, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, or similar
