The Salvation Army is one of Australia’s largest providers of Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) services. Our Bendigo Bridge Program offers structured residential treatment, education and recovery support for people seeking to rebuild their lives. This role is essential in ensuring that participants receive safe, consistent and high-quality care through strong leadership, coordinated case work and reliable residential operations.

About the role

As the AOD Residential Team Leader, this is your opportunity to lead the entire residential team and coordinate case work activities, so participants receive appropriate care, education and support in line with the Model of Care. You will oversee governance routines, safe exits, rostering, structured handover and daily operational flow to ensure the program runs smoothly and participants experience a safe and supportive environment.

Reporting to the Program Manager, this is a Permanent Full-Time position, based on-site in Bendigo, Victoria.

Conditions

Compensation is in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS) Level 6.

How you will make an impact

Residential leadership you lead the residential team each day and coordinate case work activities, so participants receive appropriate care education and support.

Operational coordination you act as the central contact for daily operations and problem solving and you guide workflow across the program while supporting consistent practice.

Case work leadership you lead case reviews and intake meetings, and you ensure treatment matching and triage discussions occur through the correct forums

Clinical governance you complete core governance routines including case reviews supervision team meetings file audits and treatment completion reviews

On call and rostering you participate in the on-call roster, and you coordinate rostering arrangements to maintain minimum shift coverage while supporting the Senior Support Worker with roster management

Medication oversight you oversee medication related matters and ensure issues are documented and escalated appropriately

People leadership you provide direct line management for case managers the peer worker and the intake worker including recruitment support induction supervision and staff development

What you will bring

AOD Skill Set including CHCAOD001 CHCAOD004 CHCAOD006 and CHCAOD009

Residential AOD experience with demonstrated experience working in an AOD residential treatment setting

Relevant qualifications such as an undergraduate degree in Social Work Psychology Counselling or a related field or qualifications in clinical supervision or leadership

Group work and program coordination skills with experience creating and maintaining timetables in residential settings

Leadership capability including supervision reflective practice and team development

A Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check

A current First Aid certificate

A current Victorian Driver's Licence
