The Team & Role
As an Environmental Service Assistant, you will be a valued member of the Support Services Team, working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors. This role is responsible for undertaking a range of cleaning duties across designated areas of the hospital, ensuring all cleaning activities are completed in accordance with established work schedules, cleaning systems and Victorian health facility standards. You will have regular contact with patients, staff and visitors and will utilise strong interpersonal skills, clear communication and a flexible approach to support the smooth operation of the work unit. Success in this role requires a commitment to teamwork, consumer service, continuous improvement and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience demonstrates ability to work as a professional cleaner
Ability to prioritise competing needs and work flexibility
Displays a commitment to providing quality service to patients, staff and visitors.
Good interpersonal skills
Knowledge of infection controls principles and procedures
