Details: The Education Directorate is reshaping how its central office works so it can better support schools, students, staff, government and the ACT community. The multidisciplinary organisation design team will deliver a challenging program of discovery, design and implementation to reshape how the directorate operates and is structured. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a once-in-a-generation organisation reform program that will help build a more connected, sustainable and effective education directorate.
The Senior Business Analyst will play a critical role in supporting this program by providing structured, evidence-informed analysis that translates organisational design intent into clear, practical and implementation-ready products. Working closely with the Program Lead, senior executives and stakeholders, the role analyses current state arrangements and defines future state requirements to support informed decision-making and successful implementation.
Operating in a complex and evolving environment, the position requires strong analytical capability, sound judgement and the ability to translate complex information into clear, structured outputs that support design, consultation, transition and evaluation.
As the reform agenda matures, work programs, reporting arrangements and team structures may evolve. We are looking for people who are comfortable working flexibly in a changing environment and who want to help build a more connected, sustainable and effective education directorate.
These roles sit in a broader reform environment. While the immediate focus is organisation design, successful candidates may contribute to related reform, implementation or transition priorities as the work program evolves.

Notes: This is a temporary position available for 12 months with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
