The Value Chain Development Manager leads the delivery of priority value‑chain initiatives within the Carcase Value Program, translating program planning into coordinated industry adoption, commercial outcomes, and partner capability. This role drives value chain adoption across the Carcase Value program, which includes Meat Standards Australia, animal health, carcase and cut yield and industry systems such as eNVD and myFeedback.
About the Role
The Value Chain Development Manager leads the delivery and adoption of initiatives that enhance whole-carcase value across the beef, sheep meat, and goatmeat sectors. Working closely with industry partners, the role drives the uptake of technologies, data systems and value-based marketing approaches, translating technical insights into practical commercial outcomes while fostering strong industry relationships.
Leads Carcase Value Program initiatives, driving value-chain adoption, partner capability and commercial outcomes across industry systems.
Our ideal Value Chain Development Manager has:
- Demonstrated industry experience in beef, sheep meat, or goat value chains, ideally with processor or supply‑chain engagement exposure.
- Understanding of objective measurement technologies, digital systems, data‑driven decision‑making and supply‑chain innovation.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills with the ability to identify value creation opportunities.
- Experience delivering presentations, capability‑building activities, and supply‑chain engagement.
