About the role
We have an exciting part-time job-share opportunity (3 days per week) for a Technical Advisor – Wastewater Processes based at the Beenyup Advanced Water Recycling Plant (AWRP) in Craigie.
In this highly technical role, you will work closely with Operations to ensure compliance with water quality, environmental and regulatory requirements associated with Groundwater Replenishment. You will play a key role in monitoring and reporting compliance performance, coordinating sampling and testing programs, investigating regulatory issues, and providing specialist technical advice to support the safe and effective operation of the plant.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in water quality, environmental compliance, laboratory operations, quality management systems or other highly regulated industries such as manufacturing, mining, resources, pharmaceuticals, or other government bodies. Candidates with transferable skills in compliance management, quality systems, technical reporting, investigations, and continuous improvement are encouraged to apply.

What you can expect with this role

Coordinate and monitor compliance activities to ensure the Beenyup AWRP meets all water quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Prepare and deliver routine compliance, governance, and environmental reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Manage water sampling, testing, and monitoring programs, ensuring accurate data collection and adherence to quality standards.

Investigate compliance issues, identify root causes, and work with Operations to implement corrective and preventative actions.

Provide technical advice and support on recycled water quality, regulatory obligations, and groundwater replenishment processes.

Support laboratory operations and continuous improvement initiatives, including equipment maintenance, quality assurance activities, and process enhancements.
Your skills and experience
For this role, we are looking for great talent with:

Degree qualification in Science, Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.

Demonstrated experience working in a highly regulated industry, such as water, manufacturing, mining, resources, pharmaceuticals, or a similar environment.

Strong understanding of compliance, quality management systems, regulatory reporting, and risk management principles.

Experience analysing technical data, identifying trends, investigating non-conformances, and coordinating corrective actions.

Sound knowledge of laboratory operations, sampling programs, and analytical instrumentation.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to provide technical advice, prepare reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
