Triage Coordinator

Location - Parramatta (Flexible Working Arrangements to be considered)

Employment type – Ongoing full-times roles

Salary - $116,981.00 - $129,492.00 pa, plus superannuation and leave loading

Your role

As a Triage Coordinator, you will assess incoming conduct matters using structured triage tools, risk frameworks and professional judgement to determine appropriate referral and management pathways. Working under the guidance of a Senior Triage Coordinator, the role supports consistent, timely and defensible outcomes. Successful candidates will be provided with a strong opportunity to develop analytical and decision‑making skills in an integrity‑focused environment.

What you’ll do

As a Triage Coordinator, you will be responsible for the effective triage and preliminary assessment of conduct matters, using established tools, risk frameworks, and procedural guidance to determine appropriate next steps. You will assess the seriousness and complexity of matters, gather initial contextual information, and make well-reasoned recommendations on referral pathways while ensuring cases are not prematurely escalated into investigation. You will maintain accurate and confidential records within case management systems, escalate complex or high-risk issues where required, and work closely with intake and support teams to ensure smooth handover of matters. The role also contributes to quality assurance, continuous improvement of triage processes, and upholding consistent, professional handling of sensitive information.

In the Conduct Unit, you will be part of a dedicated team that works to uphold the values and ethics of DCJ. The team works to support all staff and the broader People Branch and ensure that all DCJ staff provide the highest level of service to all clients, including the most vulnerable members of the NSW community

In addition to the essential requirements outlined in the role description, our ideal candidate is a self-motivated person with ability to critically analyse information within established frameworks to identify conduct matters. The candidate will have excellent verbal and written skills, a high attention to detail and ability to identify serious and/or complex matters which require escalation.
