About the role
Architectus is expanding the use of Artificial Intelligence across design, project delivery and business operations. We're looking for an experienced AI Stack Developer to help design, build and embed the AI systems that will shape the future of our practice.
Working within our dedicated AI Team and reporting to the AI Practice Lead, you'll collaborate with technical specialists, architects and business stakeholders to develop secure, scalable AI solutions that deliver real business value.

Develop AI-powered web applications using React, Next.js and modern TypeScript/JavaScript

Build backend services, APIs and integrations in Python

Design and implement RAG pipelines, AI agents, semantic search and document intelligence solutions

Integrate leading LLM platforms including OpenAI, Anthropic and vector databases into enterprise applications

Build AI tools that improve design workflows, project delivery and internal operations

Deploy and manage AI services using Azure, Docker and CI/CD pipelines

Lead user acceptance testing, implement automated testing and continuously improve AI quality, accuracy and safety

Champion secure development practices, responsible AI and strong technical governance

Contribute to AI architecture, documentation and the ongoing evolution of our AI platforms
About You

5+ years' software development experience, including at least 2 years delivering AI or machine learning solutions

Strong Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript development skills
-
Experience building applications with LLM APIs, AI frameworks and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

Hands-on experience with vector databases such as pgvector, Pinecone or Weaviate

Experience deploying cloud-based applications using Azure, AWS or similar platforms

Frontend development experience with React and/or Next.js

Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD and modern software engineering practices

A strong understanding of security, testing and responsible AI principles

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Experience within Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) or BIM/CAD environments is highly regarded
