KITCHEN STEWARD – POOL TERRACE RESTURANT / Hamilton Island

The Kitchen Steward supports the kitchen team by delivering consistent, high-quality food preparation and service outcomes within an assigned section. Operating with a premium resort environment characterised by high-volume and seasonal trade, the role applies strong trade skills, supports section readiness and contributes to efficient service delivery under the direction of senior kitchen leadership.

Where You’ll Make an Impact

Prepare and support dishes under guidance from senior chefs
Uphold high standards in food quality, presentation, and sustainability
Work across kitchen stations
Maintain food hygiene, storage, and safety protocols at all times
Contribute to prep for daily service and special event menus
Participate in team meetings, briefings, and kitchen handovers

What We’re Looking For

You are a passionate and reliable kitchen professional, eager to build your skills in a supportive and world-class environment. You are detail-oriented, thrive in a fast-paced setting.

To Be Successful, You Will Need:

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Essential)
At least 1–2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen
Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a collaborative attitude
Ability to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and event service
Valid working rights in Australia
Manual open driver’s licence (preferred)
