ACCIONA is part of the ActivUs Alliance delivering the $5.75 billion Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project. The works will double rail capacity between Kuraby and Beenleigh, upgrade nine stations and remove five level crossings ahead of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
About the Opportunity
We're seeking a Project Engineer, based on the Gold Coast, to manage the design, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and handover of electrical and integrated station systems within a live rail environment. Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer – Electrical, you'll coordinate interfaces between electrical, communications, mechanical, civil, structural and architectural disciplines across a complex, multidisciplinary brownfield delivery.
Key Accountabilities

Review and manage electrical, communications and mechanical designs

Lead technical reviews, constructability assessments and workshops

Resolve design clashes through RFIs and stakeholder engagement

Oversee subcontractors on HV/LV, telecoms and mechanical packages

Coordinate interfaces between station systems and live rail assets

Manage quality records, commissioning and asset handover

Support forecasting, cost control and programme reporting
Required Skills and Competencies
-
Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Experience delivering major rail, transport or station projects

Track record managing multidisciplinary services packages

Membership of Engineers Australia or progress to Chartered status

Current Rail Industry Worker (RIW) accreditation, or ability to obtain
