Full Time Pharmacist position, available now:
The Pharmacist is responsible for providing exceptional professional pharmacy and health-related services, ensuring patients receive safe, appropriate and effective medication, advice and support while maintaining compliance with all relevant legislation, Pharmacy Board regulations and WholeLife policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering outstanding patient care, including reviewing medication histories, ensuring appropriate medications and dosages, providing counselling and supporting medication adherence.
- Maintaining strong knowledge of prescription and non-prescription medicines, including contraindications, dosage, storage, administration, interactions and disease state management.
- Providing professional advice on alternative therapies, disease prevention and health management to support positive patient outcomes.
- Dispensing prescriptions accurately and safely and maintaining all required dispensing records and documentation in accordance with relevant legislation and HIC requirements.
- Maintaining a highly organised and efficient dispensary, including prescription maintenance, record keeping and managing high-volume dispensings
- Ensuring the safe handling, sale and recording of Schedule 2, Schedule 3 and controlled medicines in accordance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Qualified and experienced in administering vaccinations, including COVID-19 vaccinations, in accordance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
- Identifying, performing and recording clinical interventions, MedsChecks, Diabetes MedsChecks and other pharmacy patient programs.
- Maintaining current professional knowledge and supporting WholeLife health campaigns, professional programs and ongoing training requirements.
- Providing exceptional customer service in person and by phone, handling customer concerns professionally and escalating complaints where appropriate.
- Supporting and assisting the pharmacy team to ensure customers are appropriately served and pharmacy operations run efficiently.
- Ensuring compliance with all WholeLife policies, procedures and operational standards, including cash handling, computer housekeeping, pharmacy security and required record keeping.
- Maintaining appropriate professional, ethical and confidentiality standards at all times and representing WholeLife positively through professional conduct, appearance and customer service.
