Full Job Description

CSK Mechanical and Marine Engineering is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic/Marine Engineer to join our dynamic team.

What you'll be doing

Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex mechanical faults in heavy diesel engines and marine propulsion systems
Performing preventative maintenance schedules and servicing on diesel engines, gearboxes, and associated marine equipment
Conducting repairs and overhauls of engine components, including cylinders, pistons, bearings, and fuel injection systems
Testing and commissioning repaired equipment to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards
Maintaining detailed maintenance logs and technical documentation for all work undertaken
Liaising with clients and internal teams to understand operational requirements and prioritise maintenance tasks
Adhering to health and safety regulations and company procedures at all times
Supporting the development and mentoring of junior team members where applicable

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in Heavy Diesel Mechanics or Marine Engineering, or equivalent experience in a related field
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience working with heavy diesel engines and marine propulsion systems
Strong knowledge of marine engineering standards and practices, including IMO regulations where applicable
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment relevant to diesel engine servicing and repair
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in technical work
Valid driver's license and willingness to work flexibly, including potential offshore or remote site work
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Physical fitness to safely perform manual handling and labour-intensive tasks
Current or ability to obtain relevant safety certifications (such as confined space, scaffolding, or marine-specific certifications)
