Cottee Parker Architects is looking for a Graduate of Architecture to join our team.

We’re looking for a motivated Graduate who has gained practical experience within an architectural practice and is particularly confident working in the front-end design and Development Application (DA) stages of projects.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the early stages of a project – developing design ideas, preparing planning and DA packages, coordinating information and working alongside experienced Architects and Project Leaders to help progress projects from concept through approvals and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with concept design, design development and Development Application (DA) packages

Prepare architectural drawings, models, schedules and presentation material

Assist with planning and authority submissions and the project approval process

Support Project Leaders in client, consultant and authority meetings

Coordinate consultant information and incorporate inputs into project documentation

Assist with site analysis, research and investigation during the early stages of projects

Prepare accurate and well-coordinated architectural documentation

Undertake research into planning requirements, materials and construction methods

Maintain organised project records and documentation

� Work collaboratively with Architects, Project Leaders, Interior Designers and consultants

Continue developing your technical, design and project coordination skills across all stages of a project

What We’re Looking For

A Master’s degree in Architecture or equivalent from a recognised institution

Previous experience within an architectural practice (2-3 years), with exposure to front-end design and DA work

Relevant sector experience across retail, multi-residential, townhouses and/or hotels

An understanding of planning controls, Development Applications and authority approval processes

Strong architectural design, drawing and documentation skills

Proficiency in Revit

Strong graphic and presentation skills

Good attention to detail and an organised approach to your work

Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with project teams, consultants and other stakeholders

A proactive attitude and willingness to learn, develop and take on greater responsibility

Ability to manage your workload and meet project deadlines

Eligibility to work towards registration as an Architect in Australia

Permanent working rights in Australia

About You

You’re a Graduate who has already had some exposure to architectural practice and is ready to build on that experience.

You enjoy the front end of projects, understand the importance of good design and well-prepared DA documentation, and are keen to develop your experience across the broader project lifecycle.

At Cottee Parker, you’ll work alongside experienced architectural teams and have the opportunity to continue developing your design, technical and project delivery skills while working towards professional registration.
