Dynamic Earth Solutions (DES) specializes in site planning, spatial information and digital terrain modeling, surface and subsurface investigations, rock mechanics, underground structures, geotechnical laboratory services, flood forecasting and water resource management through our geotechnical, hydrotechnical, and civil site development expertise.

The Hatch Student Vacation Program provides the opportunity to work on real projects and gain practical industry skills. We will help you through the transition, bridging the gap between your education and career.
As part of the Oil & Gas team you will gain exposure to a diverse range of projects that support the delivery of innovative solutions across the mining, infrastructure, and energy sectors. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will contribute to projects throughout the full lifecycle, from scoping and concept development through to detailed design, construction support, and project delivery. This opportunity will provide valuable hands-on experience, technical development, and insight into how multidisciplinary teams collaborate to solve complex engineering challenges.

You bring to the role:
You will be working towards Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Geotechnical Engineering with a strong academic record. Candidates will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and will be collaborators with the ability to think laterally and innovatively to solve problems. You will also have an interest in exploring a future with a global consulting company and are committed to creating positive change.
The 12-week program commences on Monday, 23 Nov 2026. Please note, during this time Hatch will have its annual office closure from COB Friday, 18 December 2026 and will reopen Monday, 4 January 2027.
