Role Summary:
As an ADAS Controls Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role within a dynamic, cross functional team, designing, developing and validating core system architectures for our next-generation driver-assistance and autonomy platforms. In this position, you will drive definition of the functional and electrical architecture for high autonomy systems. We are seeking a forward thinking and highly skilled systems engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses deep expertise in ADAS sensors, actuators, HW-SW architectures, vehicle motion controls, and vehicle simulation platforms.

Responsibilities
- Lead the authorship, analysis, and lifecycle management of comprehensive system and software requirements for Level 2 through Level 5 ADAS and autonomous driving systems.
- Architect electrical system frameworks, including detailed block diagrams and rigorous interface control documentation.
- Translate high-level functional objectives into granular, testable engineering specifications for state machines, control algorithms, and overall system dynamics.
- Engage in deep cross-functional collaboration with HMI/UX, functional safety, cybersecurity, and product management to integrate multi-disciplinary requirements.
- Utilize MATLAB, Simulink, and advanced simulation environments (SIL/HIL) to iterate, tune, and validate complex algorithm performance against defined criteria.
- Drive the development of Functional Safety work products in strict alignment with ISO 26262 industry standards.
- Partner with validation teams to perform root-cause analysis, debug system issues, and refine design iterations based on empirical data.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- [8-12]+ years of experience in ADAS, robotics, or automotive controls development.
- Strong foundation in classical and modern control theory (e.g., stability analysis, state-space methods, MPC).
- Proficiency with MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow for modeling and simulation.
- Solid understanding of vehicle dynamics (longitudinal and lateral).
- Experience with programming in Python / C / C++ / Rust
- Familiarity with systems engineering principles and tools (e.g., JAMA, DOORS, SysML/UML).
- Experience with validation efforts at different test levels (MIL, SIL, HIL, Component, Vehicle)
- Experience performing DFMEA and /or STPA.
- Excellent cause and effect analysis skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in applying AI/ML techniques to engineering workflows. Specific experience with LLMs, NLP, or generative AI is a major plus.
- Proven experience taking an ADAS feature from concept to production.
- Experience with ADAS Simulators (CARLA or proprietary tools) while integrating motion controls
