About the Role

As a Service Technician, you will service, maintain, troubleshoot and repair Arjo equipment and related products across aged care, hospital and healthcare customer sites throughout Southern Tasmania. While the role is primarily based in the Hobart region, occasional travel to Launceston may be required to support customer needs and service requirements.
You'll become a trusted partner to your customers, ensuring equipment remains safe, compliant and operational, while delivering a high standard of technical support and customer service. Working from a fully equipped company vehicle, you'll have the autonomy to manage your day while being backed by a supportive local team.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance, servicing and safety testing of equipment
Diagnose faults and undertake repairs on-site
Respond to breakdowns and provide technical troubleshooting support
Build strong, long-term customer relationships
Accurately document service activities using mobile technology and service management systems
Manage vehicle stock and spare parts inventory
Ensure equipment meets safety and compliance standards
Collaborate with the broader Tasmanian Service Team
Identify opportunities to further support customer needs through Arjo's products and services

About You
You're a hands-on problem solver who enjoys working independently, building strong customer relationships and taking pride in delivering high-quality service. You thrive in a role where no two days are the same and are confident managing your own schedule while responding to customer needs.

Service Technician roles
Medical devices
Healthcare equipment
Appliance repair
Automotive servicing and repairs
Mechanical maintenance
Electrical or electronics servicing
Industrial equipment maintenance
Mobility equipment
Other technical field-based or workshop-based environments

You Will Also Bring

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
A practical, hands-on approach with experience using hand tools, power tools and testing equipment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
The ability to work autonomously and effectively manage your workload and priorities.
Sound computer and mobile device skills for recording service activities and managing daily tasks.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
A current Australian Driver Licence.
Flexibility to occasionally travel within Tasmania, including ad hoc visits to Launceston to support customers and service requirements
