Full Job Description

Your new role:
As an Administration Support Officer, you will provide reliable and professional administrative support to the Anaesthetic Care Unit, helping the team run smoothly and efficiently. You will be a key point of contact for staff and clients, while managing a diverse range of administrative tasks in a busy hospital environment. You will:

Provide general administration and secretarial support, including data entry, correspondence, filing and document preparation.
Coordinate meetings, training sessions, interviews, room bookings and catering arrangements, including meeting secretariat duties when required.
Respond to enquiries professionally and assist with diary, email and information management for senior staff.
Maintain databases and spreadsheets, prepare reports, monitor office supplies and coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance.

About you:
You are an organised, approachable and dependable administration professional who takes pride in providing accurate, timely and customer-focused support. You enjoy working as part of a team and can confidently manage competing priorities in a busy healthcare environment. You will:

Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines and maintain accurate records.
Clear, professional and respectful communication skills, with a genuine focus on supporting staff, patients and clients.
Confident Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel, with the ability to manage databases, spreadsheets and electronic information accurately.
A positive, reliable and collaborative approach, with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality, confidentiality and respectful service.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.

The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
