To provide high level administrative support to the General Manager for the Illawarra Hospital Group (IHG) and to lead, manage and coach the executive support team for the IHG Executive to ensure the provision of high-quality executive assistance services. This will involve the need to multi-task and manage competing priorities daily to ensure the effective operation of the office of the General Manager and executive administration support team. As the key interface for the General Manager, this position will cultivate collaborative relationships and provide an exceptional level of service, information and advice. The Executive Officer will work autonomously and proactively manage the workflow of the General Manager and their direct reports, wherever possible anticipating the administration support required by the General Manager and the IHG Executive team. This position requires a high degree of discretion, integrity and confidentiality.

Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
