Director National Building and Business Support Hub leads a national team responsible for delivering high-quality property and business support services to ACIC staff. This role supports the National Manager Finance and Enterprise Services to manage the national estate footprint, deliver property projects, manage the facilities maintenance function, champion our environmental sustainment strategy, and lead the national business support team. The successful candidate will be supported by a driven and professional team located at various sites across Australia.
Role responsibilities
As a Director National Building and Business Support Hub you will:
- Lead all property projects and leasing arrangements from planning, through initiation, delivery to completion

Lead property lease negotiations

Lead and coordinate procurement processes and Whole of Australian Government requirements, including procurement compliant with the PGPA Act and Commonwealth Procurement Rules, as well as submissions to the PWC and other Finance requirements

Manage the contract and relationship for the whole of government property services provider, and ensure that all ACIC’s facilitates are operational and functional.

Champion the Environmental Sustainability function, driving change to meet ACIC’s sustainability targets

Oversee the national Business Support team to deliver high quality support to ACIC staff in a timely and nationally standardised way

Manage budgets and staffing nationally

Lead and manage development of relevant strategies, policies and procedures
Your skills and capabilities
We invite applications from people with the following experience, skills and attributes:
- Demonstrates experience and a proven ability in a senior property or facilities management role, including an ability to lead a team in the delivery of services.

Has demonstrated leading medium to large scale property fit out projects, including governance, project management, procurement, design, and delivery.

Demonstrated skills relating to the development and implementation of agile workplace practices.

Demonstrated ability to lead business support functions in a national setting.

Possesses highly-developed interpersonal skills and proven written and oral communication skills of a high standard

Demonstrates well-developed analytical skills and proven ability to use a positive and proactive approach to problem solving

Has sound judgement, a high level of initiative, flexibility and the ability to set the direction for a team

Demonstrates excellent organisational and time management skills.
