Position Description
This Position Description is a guide only and is not intended to be an exhaustive or exclusive list of the duties
attached to this position. The Position Description is subject to review and modification by the Principal, in
response to the strategic direction of the School and the development of the skills and knowledge of the
position.

Position Title Minibus Driver

Reporting Manager Head of Business Services

Role Purpose The Bus driver supports parents in the School community by providing
reliable and safe transport options for students.

Specific Duties and
Responsibilities

Actively support the Christian ethos of the school, modelling a Christian
example in all activities.

Collection of bus from school
Following designated route to collect students as arranged
Maintain order and discipline in the bus, making sure that safety

precautions are followed at all times

Before departing from the School, check the Roll in order to ensure

no passengers are left behind.

Ensure that students are released into the care of appropriate

adult, or as directed by parents/guardians

Take students and staff on excursions, when required.
After use ensure the bus is left with adequate fuel, is clean and tidy

and all doors and windows locked.

Report all damage ASAP.
Complete bus inspection report sheets as directed on a weekly

basis.

Other tasks may be required from time to time to ensure the

smooth running of the School.

Wellbeing

Maintain professional confidentiality on information about

students.

Provide the appropriate duty of care and supervision of students.

Communication and Engagement

Interpersonal skills appropriate to establishing and maintaining

effective and respectful relationships with students, staff and
parents.

Any other duties as may be required by the Principal.

Physical/Work Environment
Requirements

Strong physical, mental and emotional health to deal with the

required demands and responsibilities of the role.

Able to drive a bus for 2 hours in morning and afternoon/evening.
