The Opportunity
As a Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer, you’ll take on a pivotal leadership role—driving technical excellence, mentoring talent, and building enduring client partnerships.
With strong demand across Queensland, this role offers immediate exposure to complex, career-defining projects and the opportunity to help shape the future direction of our geo-environmental capability.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the design and delivery of complex geo-environmental projects across:
- Landfill and containment systems
- Tailings and mining infrastructure
- Dams, embankments, and earth structures
- Waste and resource recovery facilities
- Provide trusted technical leadership on high-risk, high-value projects
- Drive innovative, sustainable solutions that integrate environmental outcomes into major infrastructure
- Oversee project performance (technical, commercial, risk) from concept through to delivery
- Build long-term client relationships across Queensland and nationally
- Mentor and grow a high-performing, multidisciplinary team
Contribute to strategic growth and market positioning in geo-environmental engineering

About You
You’re a recognized technical leader who combines deep expertise with commercial awareness and a passion for delivering meaningful outcomes.
- Degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering
- 10+ years’ experience, ideally within consulting
- Strong background in waste and containment design (landfills, liners, leachate systems, geosynthetics)
- Proven capability in detailed design and technical review
- Experience with earthworks, dams, tailings, and water management systems
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and influence key stakeholders
A track record of winning work, building client trust, or contributing to growth (highly valued)
