About the Role

JBS is currently recruiting an experienced sales promotion officer to join the Southern Operations team (Port Melbourne) in a permanent full-time capacity.

The sales promotion officer is an integral part of the team. This position provides critical and intuitive support to the Southern Sales Team across order entry, production control and monitoring, inventory control and key account maintenance. This role will provide required skills training needed to move into a future role of Domestic/Export Sales Person. Regular Plant visits will be arranged to give a broad understanding of the business. The annual salary for this role is not less than $80,000 plus superannuation.

This opportunity is ideal for any person looking to move into the commercial area of a highly respected, national organization with serious opportunity for growth and development.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

· Provide general support to the team as required

· Enter new sales and distribute confirmations to customers

· Coordinate and work with production planners for order delivery

· Contribute to the development and implementation of the tactical marketing plan and policies, preparation and execution of marketing objectives and programs, to deliver the business goals in terms of Sales

· Take accountability to ensure effective measures are in place to measure campaign effectiveness for the given products and services, and analyses data regarding the patterns and preferences of customers. Provide recommendations on improving campaign performance and cost efficiencies.

· Assist with reporting and analysis of sales data and market information

· Provide key accounts with production updates and shipment information

· Maintain and grow customer relationships in conjunction with sales team

· Liaise with shipping team on schedules and details for relevant orders

· Maintain and analyze inventory data

· Liaise with sales and customers to develop new specifications and labels

· Build relationships across a range of disciplines for your own personal development and for the execution of sales team strategies

· Support the sales team with marketing and brand activations with customers

About you:

· Tertiary qualifications in Business or Marketing

· Strong computer literacy in excel, word and outlook (intermediate to advanced Excel)

· Excellent written and verbal communication

· Ability to remain calm in difficult situations whilst maintaining a strong customer service focus

· Exceptional ability to prioritise and multi-skill

· Excellent attention to detail

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment

· Takes other's perspective's into consideration

· Energetic, passionate and enthusiastic

· Demonstrated focus on system improvement

· Makes self fully available as required
