Metro South West

Domestic Assistant – South West Metro

We are currently recruiting Domestic Assistants on a casual basis, requiring a minimum of 3 days availability per week.

We have multiple roles in the South West Metro region ranging from Applecross to Rockingham. Rounds are usually scheduled within 20-30 minutes from your home location as we want to ensure you are providing quality care & services to our client and less time travelling!

Various Shift Patterns on offer: 0800 - 1500, 0800 - 1600, 0900 - 1500.

Domestic Assistants support clients to maintain independence by providing domestic assistance, general housekeeping, meal preparation and social support. The role involves travelling between clients’ homes, following a digital schedule and care plan via a mobile app, so a reliable vehicle and ability to work autonomously are essential.

$43.03 per hour (inclusive of 25% loading) + super.
Travel allowance of $1.03 per k/m.

What we’re looking for

3-6 months Domestic/Industrial cleaning experience.
A valid Drivers’ License with unrestricted access to a registered vehicle which is appropriately insured and in good condition, is essential.
Ability and willingness to work autonomously in the community, travelling from home to home, referring to a digital schedule and care plan, via a mobile app, will be essential.
Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills are essential

The role

Provide high‑quality support that promotes client independence.
Deliver domestic assistance and general housekeeping tasks.
Prepare meals and support clients with basic nutrition needs.
Provide social support and assist clients to remain engaged in their community.
Follow a predetermined schedule while travelling between clients’ homes.
Use a mobile app to access and follow digital schedules and care plans independently.
Maintain unrestricted access to a reliable vehicle for travel between visits.
