About the Role

Up to 24 hours per week available

The Allied Health Assistant (AHA) role is responsible for providing a high standard of clinical and program support to the Allied Health therapists as determined by the Allied Health Team Manager.

The role may require delivering programs within community-based programs and Residential Aged Care and Acute Ward.

The AHA's role is to deliver programs to individuals or groups of clients, as directed by Therapists and assist clients to work towards their exercise and rehabilitation goals.

The AHA is responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment for the staff and clients within the gym or relevant setting ensuring equipment is maintained and used appropriately.

About You

Minimum Qualifications:

Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance

Key Selection Criteria:

Ability to relate to a wide range of persons and professionals
Well-developed time management and organisational skills within a team environment
Attention to safe practices when conducting group exercise programs as directed by Therapists
Ability to work effectively with limited direction and supervision
Ability to demonstrate initiative and flexibility
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
Well developed IT skills

Employing more than 200 people, MHS operates a 12 bed acute hospital, 2 Aged Care Residences with a total of 82 beds, primary and community care services, social support group programs and Allied Health Services.
