About the Role

MSOFT Technologies is seeking an experienced ICT Customer Support Officer / Service Desk Analyst to join our growing IT services team.

The successful candidate will provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to clients, acting as a key point of contact for ICT incidents, service requests and technical issues. The role will involve remote, telephone and onsite support, troubleshooting end-user technology and enterprise applications, and working with internal teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support via telephone, remote support and onsite assistance.
- Act as a single point of contact for customer ICT incidents and service requests.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network and application issues.
- Provide support for Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems and enterprise applications.
- Support Active Directory, user accounts, permissions and access management.
- Provide support for virtual desktop and remote access environments.
- Assist with network and infrastructure services including DHCP, printing and related services.
- Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot approved hardware and software.
- Liaise with third-party vendors and technology providers to resolve incidents and service requests.
- Log, update and maintain service desk tickets with accurate customer information and resolution details.
- Prioritise and escalate incidents in accordance with service management procedures.
- Maintain asset records and assist with IT asset management.
- Coordinate technology-related activities with customers, internal IT teams and external service providers.
- Provide user guidance and basic technical training where required.
- Contribute to knowledge bases, technical documentation and support procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve service desk processes and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in IT projects, system upgrades and technology initiatives as required.
- Follow established Incident Management, Request Fulfilment, Problem Management and Change Management processes.

Essential Skills & Experience

- Minimum 1 year of experience in an ICT Service Desk, Help Desk, Desktop Support or similar ICT customer support role.
- Demonstrated experience providing Level 1 and Level 2 technical support.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Windows environments.
- Experience with Active Directory, user accounts and access management.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, network and application-related issues.
- Experience working with ticketing/service management systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within an IT team.
- Ability to prioritise incidents and escalate complex technical issues appropriately.

Desirable

- ITIL Foundation certification.
- CompTIA, Microsoft, CCNA or MCSA certification.
- Experience with Citrix or other virtual desktop environments.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications.
- Experience with Windows Server and related infrastructure services.
- Experience working within an ITIL-aligned service management environment.

Qualifications

A relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or a related discipline is desirable.
