Since 1986, Brockman Community House has proudly operated as a not-for-profit, community-based Neighbourhood Centre. We provide high-quality Childcare and Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) for up to 92 children. Our service is led by a passionate Management Committee and a dedicated team of professionals committed to inclusive, child-centred education and care. We are seeking a passionate and motivated Permanent Early Childhood Teacher to join the team at Brockman House Childcare Centre.

About the Role
The successful applicant will work collaboratively across age groups and contribute to creating a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment for children.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver curriculum aligned with the centre’s philosophy, childcare regulations, and National Quality Standards
- Create engaging learning environments and resources that support child-directed learning
- Support and guide positive children’s behaviour
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and staff
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues
- Observe and document children’s growth, development, and behaviour
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe learning environment
- Contribute to developing teaching goals and centre programs
- Undertake administrative duties as required
- Demonstrate initiative, creativity, and professionalism
Essential Requirements
- Approved ACECQA Early Childhood Teaching qualification, preferably a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)
- Experience working within a childcare or early learning setting
- Strong organisational and teamwork skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sound computer literacy
- Current First Aid Certificate, including anaphylaxis and asthma training (or willingness to obtain before commencement)
- Current National Police Clearance
- Current Working With Children Check
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF)
