Mount Lawley Golf Club is seeking a motivated and experienced Qualified Greenkeeper to join our Course Maintenance Team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the presentation and ongoing development of one of Perth’s premier private golf courses.
About the Role
Reporting to the Course Manager and working closely with the Assistant Course Manager, you will be involved in the day-to-day maintenance and presentation of the golf course. This is a role requiring a strong understanding of turf management practices and a commitment to delivering high-quality playing surfaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily golf course maintenance tasks including mowing, course set-up, and general turf care
- Assist in the implementation of turf management and bunker maintenance programs, including aeration, topdressing, over-seeding, repairing greens damage and chemical applications
- Assist with projects such as tee reconstruction
- Maintenance of fences and surrounding bushland including maintenance of clubhouse and entrance garden beds.
- Operate a wide range of turf machinery and equipment
- Assist in reticulation repairs and maintenance
- Monitor turf health and report any issues relating to plant health, irrigation, or course conditions
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Contribute to a positive team culture and support overall course presentation goals
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
- Certificate III in Sports Turf Management (or equivalent)
- Minimum of three(3) years demonstrated experience working on a golf course or within the turf industry
- Sound knowledge of turf maintenance practices, irrigation systems, and machinery operation
- Highly experienced in golf course reconstruction
- Chemical application accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
- A strong work ethic with attention to detail and pride in your work
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Strong understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) obligations
- A current driver’s licence
- An interest in golf or an understanding of the game (desirable)
