The Accountant role is a full-time, on-site role based in Norwest, NSW. The position offers a salary range of $80,000–$82,000 + superannuation. The role is 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing management reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial statements, and providing insights to support decision-making for a wide range of clients. Day-to-day tasks include managing month-end processes, overseeing accruals and journal entries, performing variance and trend analysis, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and policies. The role involves collaborating closely with business owners and internal team members to interpret financial results, develop performance metrics, and recommend improvements to processes and controls. The Accountant will also contribute to refining internal reporting frameworks, mentoring junior staff, and supporting continuous enhancement of service delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong technical accounting skills, including experience with Financial Statements and Accruals.
- Solid foundation in Finance and Accounting, with the ability to apply principles in a management accounting context.
- Advanced Analytical Skills for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting and ERP software, as well as Excel or other data analysis tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA) is highly desirable.
- Experience in management accounting or similar roles, preferably within public practice or a multi-client environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
- High attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a boutique firm setting.
Pay: $80,000.00 – $82,000.00 per year
