About the role
As a Senior Pharmacist – Manufacturing, you'll lead the delivery of high-quality pharmacy manufacturing services that support safe, effective and patient-centred care across South Australia. You'll oversee the operation of the designated manufacturing service, applying your advanced clinical knowledge and professional judgement to optimise the quality, safety and cost-effective use of medicines while providing expert advice to healthcare professionals.
Working closely with pharmacists, technicians and multidisciplinary teams, you'll provide leadership, mentor staff and drive continuous improvement across pharmacy manufacturing services. This is an opportunity to shape service delivery, champion quality use of medicines and make a lasting impact on patient outcomes through innovation, and professional collaboration.
About You
You're an experienced pharmacist and confident leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality manufacturing services that make a real difference to patient care. You enjoy leading teams, solving complex challenges and working collaboratively to drive safe, innovative and efficient pharmacy services. To be successful in this role you will:
Lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams, providing guidance, mentoring and support to deliver exceptional pharmacy services.
Communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, building strong relationships and delivering expert professional advice.
Apply sound clinical judgement, problem-solving skills and attention to detail to manage competing priorities in a complex healthcare environment.
Bring extensive hospital pharmacy experience, strong technical expertise, knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice standards and a commitment to continuous improvement, quality use of medicines and patient-centred care.
Specific experience in hospital pharmacy manufacturing service(s) is highly desirable; pharmaceutical compounding experience is also highly valued, but not compulsory for the role.
