Your new role:
As a Registered Nurse within our Adult Mental Health Inpatient Units at Logan Hospital, you'll deliver safe, compassionate and recovery-focused care to consumers experiencing acute mental illness. Working alongside experienced nursing, medical and allied health professionals, you'll play a key role in assessment, care planning, therapeutic interventions and supporting consumers throughout their recovery journey. In this role you will:
Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care in an acute inpatient mental health setting.
Complete comprehensive mental health and risk assessments and develop individualised care plans.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, consumers and their families to achieve positive recovery outcomes.
Provide therapeutic interventions, education and support to consumers and carers.
Contribute to a safe, respectful and recovery-oriented ward environment.
Work across adult inpatient mental health units within a 24/7 rotating roster.
About you:
You're a compassionate and resilient Registered Nurse who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to delivering exceptional mental health care. You bring sound clinical judgement, excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting consumers through their recovery. To be successful, you'll have:
Experience in mental health nursing or a genuine interest in developing your career in acute mental health.
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
The ability to build therapeutic relationships with consumers, families and carers.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills within a multidisciplinary environment.
A commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning and quality improvement.
Flexibility to work a 24-hour, 7-day rotating roster.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
